Pain Management

Ellla with client explaining her expertise.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have been used for thousands of years to treat acute and chronic pain. Today they are especially helpful in treating chronic pain and pain that doesn't respond to western therapy.  Even institutions of western medicine are incorporating acupuncture in their offerings to patients with pain.  Some even hire acupuncturists for their own staff.  There has been significant clinical research in this area with a great deal of data to support its effectiveness.  Perhaps even more relevant is how patients feel after acupuncture treatments and with herbal therapy.  Skeptics may argue that the placebo effect is at work.  But when a limping dog strides away after treatment, or a cat can once again use the stairs, no one can argue placebo effect, for the animal had no expectations of the treatment.

If you are experiencing low back pain, aching or stiff joints, tingling of the fingers you may be a candidate for acupuncture and herbal therapy.  Furthermore, acupuncture and/or herbal therapy can address the depression or low spirits that often accompany persistent pain.
